From the Wire: Cubs Activate RHP Neil Ramirez from 15-Day DL, Recall RHP Yoervis Medina from Iowa
The Cubs made two additions to the active roster prior to Tuesday’s game with the Cardinals. RHP Neil Ramirez was activated from the 15-day disabled list and RHP Yoervis Medina was recalled from Triple-A Iowa. With the two moves, the Cubs active roster stands at 34 players, 18 pitchers (five starters, 13 relievers) and 16 position players. Put all that anticipation of September call-ups on hold as the Iowa Cubs are back in playoff contention with a weekend sweep thanks to John Andreoli, Javier Baez, and newcomer Emilio Bonifacio.
