New Bids Submitted for the Cubs

According to reports from Reuters.com and Cubs.com, "at least three groups submitted offers on Monday to the Tribune Company in the latest round of bidding for the Chicago Cubs." Reuters identified the following three groups: The Ricketts Group, led by Tom Ricketts executive of Chicago Investment bank Incapital LLC and son of the founder of TD Ameritrade Holding Corp. Mark Cuban Charged with Insider Trading by the SEC

According to multiple reports on Monday morning, Mark Cuban has been charged with insider trading by the Securities and Exchange Commission. A report in the Wall Street Journal indicated Cuban sold 600,000 shares of Mamma.com "upon learning it was raising money in a private offering." Gammons Latest to Endorse Cuban

Peter Gammons became the latest to endorse Mark Cuban to be the new owner of the Chicago Cubs during Sunday night's game on ESPN. Gammons followed his on air report on Sunday by bringing up many of the same points on his blog on ESPN.com on Monday...."Cuban Would Be A Great Fit to Join Cubs' Family."
