The Cubs announced the fifth round of spring roster cuts on Friday morning, and all but set the 25-man roster they will begin the season with on April 1 in Pittsburgh. Dave Sappelt has made the Opening Day roster and will begin the year as the Cubs' fifth outfielder. Chris Rusin was optioned to Triple-A Iowa, and will be used as a starter in the I-Cubs rotation.
