Cubs Skipper Search to Intensify?
According to a report from Bruce Levine, Jim Hendry will meet with several managerial candidates over the next ten days. On Wednesday, Levine reported Ryne Sandberg would receive his formal interview during that time period ... but the Cubs denied that report Wednesday night. Sandberg is a candidate according to the report from Carrie Muskat, but there is "no schedule for the interview process." The Search is On for the Next Manager of the Chicago Cubs
Bruce Levine reported Thursday afternoon that Jim Hendry has begun the interview process to find his next manager. Eric Wedge, the former manager of the Cleveland Indians, received a face-to-face interview on Thursday in Cleveland. The Tribune confirmed the report with the Cubs GM and Hendry said the two had dinner on Wednesday night and he spent all day Thursday with Wedge "during a thorough interview process."
