Entercom and Ron Coomer reach three-year agreement on contract extension The Cubs and Entercom announced Tuesday radio color analyst Ron Coomer has reached a three-year contract extension to continue his coverage of the team alongside play-by-play announcer Pat Hughes. When Pat Hughes says “Chicago Cubs Baseball is on the air” in early March it will be on WSCR-AM 670 The Score. The Cubs announced Wednesday the station has been named the team’s new flagship station. The Cubs made it official during a press conference on Thursday afternoon at Wrigley Field. WBBM-AM will be the new radio home of the Chicago Cubs starting with the 2015 season. The news surfaced Tuesday night the Cubs had finalized a seven-year contract with the CBS Radio to be the Cubs flagship station.
