The awards just kept coming for the Cubs as Kris Bryant received the NL MVP. Anthony Rizzo took home more hardware. And Theo Epstein collected his second Executive of the Year Award. Kris Bryant has a new commercial and says this is only the beginning for the Chicago Cubs. Cubs to open 2017 Season in primetime against Cardinals at Busch Stadium on Sunday, April 2 The Cubs and Major League Baseball officially announced Thursday that Opening Day for the World Series Champions has been moved to April 2. The Cubs and Cardinals will kick off the 2017 season under the lights at Busch Stadium as the third game of MLB's Opening Day.
