Cubs prospect Eloy Jimenez is off to a good start in the Arizona Fall League Eloy Jimenez is making a lot of noise in Arizona this fall. Jimenez and six other Cubs’ prospects are playing ball for the Mesa Solar Sox in the Arizona Fall League. The extra-long Holiday Weekend was filled with more rumors than actually movement throughout the game. That was until Sunday morning when news surfaced the Tigers and RHP Jordan Zimmermann had agreed to terms on a five-year, $110 million contract. Willson Contreras, Jeimer Candelario Ranked at the Top of the Best Prospects from the Arizona Fall League
Two of the top prospects in the Cubs’ system had very good years. After a short break, Willson Contreras and Jeimer Candelario continued their breakout performances in the Arizona Fall League. Willson Contreras went from a relative unknown in the system to the organization’s Minor League Player of the Year. The 2015 Arizona Fall League wrapped up play Saturday when the Scottsdale Scorpions beat the Surprise Saguaros 6-4 to win the Arizona Fall League Championship, the third league title for Scottsdale and first since 2010.
