Cubs Top Prospect Watch There were no changes to this week’s Watch with rosters settling in for the holiday weekend. Eddy Julio Martinez has shown progress and Ian Happ is still on fire for the Tennessee Smokies. Cubs’ top prospect, 19-year old Gleyber Torres is making progress for High-A Myrtle Beach. It was a mixed bag to end the week as South Bend continued their destruction of the Midwest League thanks to pitchers Ryan Kellogg and Preston Morrison. Eugene’s Chris Pieters is quickly making a name for himself and Jonathan Martinez looks back on track for Myrtle Beach. Recapping Cubs International Free Agent Signings

Baseball America has been providing reviews on the International prospects each team signed last year, what was spent and where each team ranked with the rest of baseball. According to Baseball America, the Cubs signed 34 players in 2015, not during the 2015-16 signing period, but calendar year.
