The Cubs made history Tuesday in San Diego when all four infielders started for the National League. Ben Zobrist batted leadoff. Kris Bryant hit a home run off Chris Sale. It’s All-Star Game Tuesday as the two leagues will square off in San Diego tonight in the 87th Midsummer Classic (6:30pm CDT). Giancarlo Stanton put on a show in the Home Run Derby and beat Todd Frazier in the final round. Johnny Cueto (NL) and Chris Sale (AL) were named the starting pitchers Monday. Dexter Fowler Will Not Play in the All-Star Game

Dexter Fowler had an excellent first half to the season before a right hamstring injury landed him on the disabled list on June 20. Fowler was voted by the fans as the starting centerfielder for the NL All-Star team, one of five Cubs to start the Midsummer Classic. Fowler started a rehab assignment on Friday with the South Bend Cubs.
