The Cubs announced Monday morning reporting dates for Spring Training. Pitchers and catchers report to Mesa on Thursday, Feb. 19 with the first on field workout with Joe Maddon and his staff scheduled for Friday, Feb. 20. Position players must report on Tuesday, Feb. 24 and the first full squad workout is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 25. Cubs Release 2014 Spring Training Schedule
The Cubs released their 2014 Spring Training schedule on Monday. As reported, the Cubs will face the Arizona Diamondbacks in their Cactus League opener on Feb. 27 in the first game at 'Cubs Park', their new Spring Training home in Mesa. The Cubs make their annual trip to Las Vegas (March 15, March 16) to take on the New York Mets at Cashman Field.
