August 2, 2016 1:00 pm By Chris Kulawik Leave a Comment

Cubs Month in Review – July 2016 To outsiders, all systems are normal for the Chicago Cubs thanks to the majors’ best record. The starting pitching that was a strength all year took a serious nosedive, the bullpen continued to falter and the offense was still very inconsistent. Let’s take a look back at what we all hope will be just a blip in a remarkable season. 2016 Team Record: 12-14 Team … [Read more...]

The Tigers bounced back in game three of the 1908 World Series at West Side Grounds in Chicago behind a complete game by George Mullin. The Tigers’ right-hander was 17-13 in the regular season with 26 complete games. Jack ‘The Giant Killer’ Pfiester took the hill for Frank Chance. With tomorrow being the first day of 2008, the mainstream media will undoubtedly begin reminding the Faithful, on seemingly a daily basis, why this year is significant to the Chicago Cubs. While many organizations celebrate such anniversaries, it is safe to say there probably will not be any references to the accomplishment from a century ago by the organization.
