Javier Baez and Kyle Schwarber to compete in the upcoming Home Run Derby at Nationals Park
Major League Baseball made it official Wednesday night and announced Javier Baez and Kyle Schwarber will participate in the Home Run Derby on Monday at Nationals Park. Baez is the starting second baseman for the NL squad. Javy will play in the exhibition game on Tuesday. Schwarber will now be part of the All-Star festivities.
The last time the Cubs had two players in the Home Run Derby was way back in 2015 when Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo took swings in the annual event.
