According to Jim Callis, Hoerner received $2,724,000, the full value of the 24th overall pick in the draft.
The Cubs also announced the organization signed six other selections from the 2018 Draft to date (including Hoerner) since the club’s last announcement, bringing the current total to 17 signed players: outfielder Jimmy Herron (third round), right-hander Zach Mort (eighth round), right-hander Derek Casey (ninth round), right-hander Cam Sanders (12th round), infielder Tyler Durna (15th round) and infielder Jake Slaughter (18th round).
