Kris Bryant goes yard for the 100th time in his career exactly three years to the day of his first big league home run
Kris Bryant reached a career milestone in the first inning of Wednesday’s 13-4 victory over the Marlins. Bryant hit a solo homer off Wei-Yin Chen and gave the Cubs a 1-0 lead. Bryant’s solo shot was the 100th longball of his career.

Bryant hit the first home run of his career on May 9, 2015 in Milwaukee off Kyle Lohse. Three years later, he has 100 dingers on his resume.

Bryant started in right field and finished the game 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, two runs scored and two RBI.

Bryant is now hitting .292/.417/.584 with a 1.001 OPS. Bryant has 11 doubles, two triples and six home runs in 30 games, 113 at bats.
Bryant reached the 100 home run milestone quicker (487 games) than any other player in franchise history, passing Ernie Banks (500 games), Billy Williams (611 games) and Ron Santo (708 games). And Bryant becomes the third Cubs’ third baseman in franchise history to hit 100 home runs, joining Ron Santo (337) and Aramis Ramirez (239).
