Cubs activated INF/OF Ben Zobrist from 10-day disabled list … INF David Bote optioned to Iowa Cubs
Prior to the third game of the Brewers’ series and the team’s third straight win, the Cubs activated INF/OF Ben Zobrist from the 10-day DL. To make room on the 25-man roster, INF David Bote was optioned to the Triple-A Iowa Cubs.
Zobrist, along with Kris Bryant, returned to the starting lineup in the Cubs’ 3-0 victory over Milwaukee. Zobrist played second and Javier Baez slid over to shortstop in place of the struggling Addison Russell.

David Bote is hitting .111 (1-for-9) with a double in three games with Chicago and is batting .234 (11-for-47) with two doubles, one triple and three home runs in 12 games with Iowa this season.
