It seems as if no matter where he is Chesny Young just keeps on hitting as the batting champion continues to torch Dominican League pitching. Meanwhile, Corey Black continues to be lights-out in Puerto Rico.

Dominican Winter League
Aguilas Cibaenas
It was all they needed on Wednesday as Cibaenas beat Orientales 2-0. Juan Perez provided almost all the offense as he was 2-for-4 with two RBI while playing right field.
Friday night was humbling experience for the Aguilas as they were destroyed by Cibao 16-4. Juan Perez was in right field and went 1-for-4 in the loss.
The Eagles bounced back from a terrible loss to beat Escogido 6-2 on Saturday. Once again, Juan Perez played a big part as he was 1-for-4 with three RBI.
On Sunday, Cibaenas closed out the week with a 4-0 shutout of Orientales. Juan Perez remained in right field and was 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored.
Estrellas Orientales
Orientales could manage only two hits last Sunday as they lost 4-0 to Cibaenas. Juan Paniagua was called on in the fourth and had two strikeouts in 1.2 scoreless innings.
Leones del Escogido
Escogido managed only three hits last Monday as they lost to Cibao 3-0. Chesny Young recorded one of those hits as he was 1-for-3 with a walk while playing both third base and shortstop.
The Leones had a game to forget on Wednesday as they lost to Cibao 11-3. Chesny Young moved across the diamond and played first base while going 2-for-3 in the loss.
On Thursday, the Lions continued to have a rough week in losing 4-3 to Orientales. Chesny Young was back at third base and went 1-for-4 with a double and a run scored.
The bad luck for Escogido continued on Friday as they lost to Licey 4-3. Chesny Young did all that he could as he went 2-for-4 with two RBI while playing third base.
The misfortunes of the Leones remained on Saturday as they could not keep pace with Cibaenas, losing 6-2. Chesny Young just kept on hitting as he was 1-for-3 playing third base.
Roberto Clemente Professional Baseball League
Cangrejeros de Santurce
Last Monday, Santurce scored three runs in the first inning and made it hold up as they defeated Caguas 3-1. Corey Black picked up save number eight as he worked around a hit in the ninth.
It was another narrow victory for the Cangrejeros on Thursday as they scored a run in the top of the ninth to beat Carolina 1-0. Corey Black preserved the win by pitching a scoreless ninth for his ninth save.
The Crabmen kept on rolling on Saturday as they beat Aguadilla 4-2. Jacob Hannemann was back in the lineup in center field, but batting seventh. Hannemann was 2-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in his return. Corey Black had two strikeouts in a 1-2-3 ninth for his 10th save.
In a face off of the top two teams in the LBPRC on Sunday, Santurce was unable to generate any offense as they lost 1-0 to Mayaguez. Jacob Hannemann was back at leadoff, but after going 0-for-2 with two strikeouts was replaced. Corey Black set down the side in order in the ninth.
Criollos de Caguas
It was an embarrassing night for Caguas on Thursday as they managed only four hits in a 13-0 loss to Mayaguez. Miguel Mejia set down the side in order in the seventh inning.
The Criollos tried to keep pace with the leaders on Saturday as the beat Carolina 3-1. Miguel Mejia pitched the eighth inning and faced the minimum.
On Sunday, the Creoles had Carolina on the ropes but let the game get away as they lost 3-2 in 10 innings. Miguel Mejia allowed the winning run score in the top of the 10th as he also had a strikeout.
Gigantes de Carolina
Carolina took it to Mayaguez on Tuesday, beating the Indians 7-2. Yasiel Balaguert was 1-for-3 with a double, a run scored, an RBI and two walks in the win.
It took 12 innings on Wednesday, but the Gigantes ended up stumbling to lowly Aguadillo 2-1. Yasiel Balaguert moved to designated hitter and was 1-for-5 in the loss.
The Giants could not capitalize on their 11 hits on Thursday in losing to Santurce 1-0. Yasiel Balaguert was back at first base and was 1-for-4.
Venezuelan Winter League
Aguilas de Zulia
The offense came late for Zulia on Friday as they scored all of their runs in the final two innings to beat Caracas 5-0. Bryant Flete was at second base and was 2-for-4 with an RBI.
