Game 7 of The World Series is tonight (7:00pm CDT) in Cleveland. Kyle Hendricks makes the start and will oppose Corey Kluber in the winner-take-all Game 7. Joe Maddon is sticking with the same lineup that got the Cubs past the Indians in Game 6.
Cubs batting order: Dexter Fowler CF, Kyle Schwarber DH, Kris Bryant 3B, Anthony Rizzo 1B, Ben Zobrist LF, Addison Russell SS, Willson Contreras C, Jason Heyward RF, Javier Baez 2B
Every player on the Cubs’ active roster is available tonight for Game 7. If Hendricks struggles early, Jon Lester is expected to be Maddon’s first option out of the pen. Jake Arrieta and John Lackey could also see time tonight.
Aroldis Chapman is available and willing to pitch as much as Maddon wants tonight.
The Cubs will have to put runs on the board against Corey Kluber, Andrew Miller, Cody Allen and Bryan Shaw. Look for Maddon to push buttons, send runners and call for the hit and run to force the Indians’ defense to make plays. The Indians have struggled defensively throughout The Series.
Joe Maddon will begin the game with David Ross, Miguel Montero, Albert Almora Jr., Jorge Soler and Chris Coghlan on his bench.
It’s Game 7 of the World Series!
