The Cubs will be on primetime in the National League Championship Series, at least through Game 5 at Dodger Stadium.
The National League Championship Series begins Saturday at Wrigley Field with Jon Lester facing the Dodgers in Game 1.
- Game 1 – Wrigley Field – Saturday, Oct. 15 – 7:08pm CDT

Games six and seven, if necessary, would be at Wrigley Field on Saturday, Oct. 22 and Sunday, Oct. 23.
Major League Baseball announced the umpiring crews for both Championship Series on Friday. And the NLCS umpiring crew has a familiar name that will hopefully not have an impact on a single game, much less the series. Angel Hernandez is part of Gary Cederstom’s crew for the NLCS.
Bill Welke is the replay official for games one and two. Paul Nauert is the replay official for games three through seven.
Paul Nauert is the homeplate umpire for Game 1 of the NLCS. Jon Lester is 3-1 in four games with a 2.22 ERA and 1.23 WHIP in four games with Nauert behind the plate.
