The Cubs made it official Friday and Joe Maddon set the starting rotation for the National League Championship Series against the Dodgers.

lester100416Jon Lester will start Game 1 at Wrigley. Kyle Hendricks will follow and start Game 2. Jake Arrieta and John Lackey will start games three and four at Dodger Stadium.

Cubs NLCS Rotation
  • Jon Lester – Game 1 – Saturday, Oct. 15 at Wrigley Field
  • Kyle Hendricks – Game 2 – Sunday, Oct. 16 at Wrigley Field
  • Jake Arrieta – Game 3 – Tuesday, Oct. 18 at Dodger Stadium
  • John Lackey – Game 4 – Wednesday, Oct. 19 at Dodger Stadium

The Cubs would be able to bring back Jon Lester on regular rest for Game 5 at Dodger Stadium. If the NLCS goes to a Game 6, Kyle Hendricks would be able to start the game back at Wrigley. And Jake Arrieta would be in line for a Game 7 at Wrigley.

Dave Roberts has not announced the Dodgers rotation. RHP Kenta Maeda and LHP Clayton Kershaw are expected to start the first two games at Wrigley Field.
