Jorge Soler’s power was on full display Thursday night at Wrigley Field. Jorge Soler launched a rocket in the second inning, a two-run homer for his 12th longball of the season.
Soler’s home run got out of Wrigley in a hurry. The ball traveled 372 feet with an exit velocity of 114.1 mph, the hardest hit homer by any Cubs player this season.
Since returning from the DL, Soler is batting .278/.359/.556 with four doubles and seven home runs for a .915 OPS in 32 games. At Wrigley this year, Soler has hit .276/.390/.500 with four doubles, six home runs and a .890 OPS.
And for the season, Jorge Soler is hitting .245/.337/.450 with nine doubles and 12 home runs for a .787 OPS in 82 games.
