Albert Almora Jr. hits First Big League Home Run
Albert Almora Jr. started Wednesday’s finale of the three-game series in Cincinnati. Almora Jr. stepped to the plate with one out in the fourth inning and cranked the first home run of his Major League career.
Albert Almora Jr. drove a 1-1 pitch from lefty Cody Reed to right center, the ball sailed into the stands. And Almora Jr. trotted around the bases (18.9 seconds, fastest by a Cubs player this season) on what was a no-doubter to the opposite field.
