Joe Maddon starting Tommy La Stella, David Ross for Game Two at Miller Park
The Cubs look to get back in the win column on Wednesday night behind John Lackey. Joe Maddon posted his lineup for game two at Miller Park and both Tommy La Stella and David Ross are in the starting nine.
With John Lackey’s comments after his last start, it’s not surprising to see David Ross behind the plate. Tommy La Stella gets a start at third base and Kris Bryant is in left field despite the numbers against Brewers’ starter Jimmy Nelson.
Cubs’ batting order: Dexter Fowler CF, Jason Heyward RF, Kris Bryant LF, Anthony Rizzo 1B, Ben Zobrist 2B, Tommy La Stella 3B, Addison Russell SS, David Ross C, John Lackey P
Jorge Soler, Javier Baez and Miguel Montero took early batting practice Wednesday at Miller Park. Based on the numbers and Nelson’s splits, Soler and Baez were expected in the starting lineup.
