Cubs Lineup for Game 2 of NLCS

October 18, 2015 4:15 pm By Neil 2 Comments

Joe Maddon posted his lineup for Game 2 of the National League Championship Series. Miguel Montero and Chris Coghlan are back in the starting nine.

Chris Coghlan is in right field instead of Jorge Soler. Miguel Montero is back behind the plate with Jake Arrieta on the hill.

Cubs starting lineup against RHP Noah Syndergaard: Dexter Fowler CF, Kyle Schwarber LF, Kris Bryant 3B, Anthony Rizzo 1B, Starlin Castro 2B, Chris Coghlan RF, Miguel Montero C, Javier Baez SS and Jake Arrieta P

Maddon running out a left-handed heavy lineup makes sense. Lefties have hit .237/.284/.378 off Syndergaard while righties have put together a .212/.251/.326 line against him

PrintCubs career numbers against Syndergaard: Kris Bryant: 2-for-3 with one triple; Starlin Castro: 1-for-3 with one double; Chris Coghlan: 1-for-2 with one home run and one walk; Dexter Fowler: 0-for-3; Miguel Montero: 0-for-2 with one walk; Anthony Rizzo: 0-for-1 with two walks
