Cubs-Cardinals Game for Tuesday, April 7 Postponed
Tonight’s game between the Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals at Wrigley Field has been postponed due to the forecast of rain and sub-freezing wind chills throughout the evening.
A make-up date for tonight’s postponement has yet to be established. Fans are encouraged to retain their tickets from tonight’s postponed game to use for the rescheduled contest.
The game will not be made up this week and will likely be scheduled when the Cardinals return to Wrigley in July (July 6-8) or September (Sept 18-20).
The Cubs have not made an announcement about Wednesday afternoon’s game yet. The forecast for Wednesday is calling for a high in the upper 40’s, windy and with a 20 percent chance of rain.
Work has continued at Wrigley Field today.
The postponement is one less home game right now with the bleachers in their current condition. And one more day off the baseball calendar.
The Cubs and Cardinals haven’t announced the starting pitchers for Wednesday’s game. With it being only the second game of the season, the same match-up of Jake Arrieta and Lance Lynn will take place, weather permitting.
