Once again we had another week of good games this week. Three games decided by less than 25 points, while one was decided by just eight points. Eight wins is still where the playoffs are at with four 8-6 teams tied for the eighth spot. Two more teams sit one game back at 7-7 and only two more teams at 6-8, two games back. We are starting to see some separation as we now have five teams that are three games or more back. They are going to have to go on a winning streak to get back into contention with just seven weeks left before the playoffs.
Tony is on vacation this week and will be traveling until next Sunday. If you need anything please leave a post below, as that will go straight to his email and it will be easier to respond to anything that is needed versus using the leagues message board.
Hatfield’s and McCoy’s
We have had 4 weeks of interleague play. This week the Hatfield (Waveland) pulled out another weekly victory 6-4. That leaves the bragging rights with the Hatfield’s (Waveland) with a record 16-14 over the McCoy’s (Sheffield) and a weekly record of 2-0-2.
#3 FL JimBoC (10-4) 336 over #1 Kentucky Ripsnorters (10-4) 297
Huge match-up this week and it didn’t disappoint. JimBoC pulled away over the weekend and thanks to new Cubs staff ACE Jake Arrieta (question?? did her earn the #1 slot or did he take it over by default after the big trade?) for continuing to perform like a TOR starter.
Kentucky Ripsnorters: Steven Pearce 42 pts. (3HR, 2 2B, 8 R, 9 RBI), Chris Archer 36 pts. (15.1 IP, 8 K, 4 ER, 11 H, 6 BB, W)
FL JimBoC: Jake Arrieta 52 pts. (13.2 IP, 15 K, 5 H, 1 ER, 4 BB, W) Nelson Cruz 34 pts. (2 HR, 3 2B, 5 R, 5 RBI, 2 SB) Gio Gonzalez 32 pts. (8 IP, 7 K, 4 H, 0 ER, BB, W)

07Greydigger’s Crushers: Corey Kluber 51 pts. (15 IP, 15 K, 10 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, W) Tyson Ross 39 pts. (9 IP, 9 K, 3 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, W) Joe Smith 33 pts. (4 IP, 2 K, 3 SV, W, 0 H, 0 ER, 1 BB) Paul Goldschmidt 34 pts. (HR, 3B, 4 2B, 5 R, 5 RBI) J.D. Martinez 32 pts. (3 HR, 2 2B, 3 R, 6 RBI)

#13 Team JasonOfTheBurbs (7-7) 351 over #9 The Wrong Team (8-6) 243
JasonOfTheBurbs kept his sliver of hope alive by getting back to 500, but he better not of used up his best week as the schedule turns tough with Clark n Addison and Kentucky Ripsnorters 2 of the next 3 weeks.

Transactions
The transaction wire slowed down this week with 24 free agent pick-ups. Even with some call-ups getting added, the waiver wire is still tough to find players that can help teams out. Of course, if it weren’t for players with ties to Cubs the waiver wire might be real slow. Marwin Gonzalez, Tsuyoshi Wada, Dan Straily, Ricky Nolasco and Tyler Colvin all got added in the second part of the week.
Notes

Weeks 11 and 21 are the same match-up.
