In his last 34 at bats (10 games), Bryant is 14-for-34 (.412/.545/1.029) with nine of those 14 hits going for extra bases (three doubles, six home runs) and a 1.575 OPS. And he continues to cut down on his strikeouts. Bryant has 10 walks and 11 strikeouts over his last 10 games.
Bryant leads the Southern League in most offensive categories, including batting average (.348), OBP (.452), SLG (.692), OPS (1.143), home runs (18), RBI (49) and hits (70).
Kris Bryant should be named the Cubs Minor League Player of the Month for May in the coming days. Bryant hit .407/.492/.806/1.298 in 29 games last month with seven doubles, 12 home runs, 17 walks and 32 strikeouts in 108 at bats.
