I hope everyone enjoyed having a position round, I think it was a lot of fun to have head to head matchups with a team in the same position. Most of the match-ups were good and came down to Sunday to determine a winner.
We are now half way through the season and only 3 teams look to be out of the playoff hunt. Right now it is taking a 6-4 record to make the playoffs and with 5 teams one game back at 5-5 and 3 more teams 2 games back at 4-6, it should be a good second half of the season.

Clark n Addison Tony_H (6-4) 372 over What’s Optimism? Vivid Reality (5-5) 343
What looked like a Sunday cruise control day turned into a pretty close game until Clayton Kershaw earned his draft spot and paycheck. Going into Sunday I had a 99 point lead. By now I am sure we all have seen that that is a lot of points in one day. Teams have scored more than a 100 in a day, but not that often and your team will score some as well. But at point Vivid Reality had 80 points and I still had ZERO for the day. At the end of the day I scored 3 points outside of Kershaw’s start with half my batters not playing and my new bullpen arm losing 6 points. Vivid had 3 starters going at the same time and picked up 67 points from them. One was Henderson Alvarez pitching against the Cubs and he left early with left hip strain when he did the splits covering 1st base. Of course where would Reality be without Homer Bailey and his 45 points this week? Can someone please drop a pitcher for me to add to my team like Homer Bailey!
Clark N Addison: Clayton Kershaw 56 pts. (13 IP, 18 K’s, 3 ER’s, 0 BB, 2 W’s) Garrett Richards 35 pts. (8 IP, 9 K’s, 0 ER, 0 BB, W) Anthony Rizzo 30 pts. (2 HR’s, 5 Runs, 5 RBI’s)
What’s Optimism Vivid Reality: Scott Kazmir 46 pts (13.1 IP, 17 K’s, 2 ER, W) Homer Bailey 45 pts (14 IP, 14 K’s, 2 W’s) Henderson Alvarez 43 pts (14.1 IP, 10 K’s, 1 ER, W)

Bullpen MacGyvers (6-4) 264 over Northside Bleacher Bums (5-5) 226
The winner should have been looking to move into the playoffs, but even after MacGyvers pulled out the victory, he was passed by the Wrong Team for the 8th spot. The Bleacher Bums fells to 13th seed with the loss. In a low scoring game, the best day was Northside’s Sunday which fell short, scoring 57 points.
Bullpen MacGyvers: Ian Desmond 28 pts. (3 HR’s, 5 RBI’s, 5 Run’s)
Northside Bleacher Bums: Evan Longoria 26 pts. (2 HR’s, 4 Run’s, 3 RBI’s)

The Wrong Team (6-4) 352 over Aguas de Marco Billy (5-5) 281
The Wrong Team cruised to a victory this week with a wire to wire victory. The Wrong Team had a huge Friday night with 135 pts. to even pull away while Billy had an 89 point day. That’s rough as 89 point days are very good.
The Wrong Team: Tanner Roark 38 pts. (8 IP, 11 K’s, 0 ER, 3 H’s, 0 BB, W) Miguel Montero 33 pts. (3 HR’s, 8 RBI’s, 4 R’s)
Aguas de Marco Billy: Matt Carpenter 31 pts (1 HR, 5 RBI’s, 5 R’s)

CubfaninSeattle John: Felix Hernandez 55 pts. (14 IP, 23 K’s, 1 BB, 2 ER’s, W)

The transaction wire held steady this week with 32 free agent pick-ups this week. Some banking on some future Cubs took place on Sunday night as The Wrong Team picked up not only Kyuji Fujikawa but Arodys Vizcaino. Jose Veras had a bad week, getting cut from the Bullpen team and Justin Grimm found a new home in California only to be cut two days later. Ex-Cub Scott Feldman not only didn’t get extended by the Cubs last year, but now can’t stay on a roster in a 20 team fantasy league. Chris Owings and Nick Castellanos got cut and add back this week, while Adeiny Hechavarria and Daisuke Matsuzaka both got added and cut faster than they could try on a uniform.
Hard Luck Good Luck
