Cubs Promote Dan Vogelbach to High-A Daytona

August 12, 2013 10:41 pm By Neil 6 Comments

The Cubs promoted another one of their top prospects on Monday. The Cubs sent first baseman Dan Vogelbach from Kane County to the Daytona Cubs on the same day Kris Bryant was promoted to Daytona from Boise.

Dan Vogelbach is expected to report to Daytona on Tuesday, and Trevor Gretzky has been promoted from Boise to Kane County to take Vogelbach’s spot on the Cougars’ roster.

Dan Vogelbach put together a very good season with Kane County and was named the organization’s player of the month for July. Vogelbach hit .330/.417/.500 with four doubles, four home runs and a .917 OPS last month.

Dan Vogelbach hit .284/.364/.450/.814 with 21 doubles and 17 home runs in 114 games with Kane County this season.

Vogelbach and Bryant will be able to play with Daytona in the post-season.
