Wrigley Field Restoration Update: Cubs Meet with Rooftop Owners

January 28, 2013 10:11 pm By Neil 1 Comment

According to a report from Crain’s Chicago Business, the rooftop owners met with the Cubs on Monday afternoon to discuss their proposal to add digital signage to the rooftops instead of inside Wrigley Field.

Tom Ricketts is out of town but according to Greg Hinz, the Cubs’ Chairman was able to join in the meeting held at Wrigley Field via telephone.

According to the report, the meeting lasted two and a half hours and Greg Hinz was told “that both sides agreed that there is pressure for a deal.” The Cubs and rooftop owners agreed to do additional research “on a few items” and agreed to “communicate again, possibly in person later this week.”
