Cubs-Giants Game Postponed

May 15, 2011 10:47 am By Neil 9 Comments

The Cubs and Giants game scheduled for Sunday, May 15 has been postponed due to inclement weather. The Cubs have not announced a make-up date but it will likely be rescheduled as a part of a doubleheader in late June when the Giants make a second trip to Wrigley (June 28-June 30). The Cubs-Rockies game from April 27 was rescheduled for Monday, June 27 with the addition of a fourth game to the Giants series the Cubs last day off before the All-Star break will be June 23.

The Cubs will play 18 in a row from June 24 through July 10.

With Sunday’s rainout, the Cubs completed the eight-game homestand with a disappointing 3-5 record. Q’s squad could not come up with a hit with runners in scoring position for a majority of the eight games.

The Cubs announced Carlos Zambrano and Matt Garza will pitch the two games in Cincinnati with Ryan Dempster and Casey Coleman taking the hill in Miami.
