Cubs Down on the Farm Report – 06/08/09

June 8, 2009 1:00 am By Nate Leave a Comment

Here is your end of the week update for our Young Cubs. Tyler Colvin has been doing well for Tennessee since his call up (hitting .316 in 8 games) and the Smokies finally ended their losing streak. They now have a three-game winning streak and hopefully the entire team is done being in an offensive slump.

The Chiefs also had a winning streak this week that ran all the way up to six games. So if there is one thing that could be said about the Cubs and their minor league system it is that they are all very streaky teams that will go through spells without enough offense.

Rich Harden’s rehab start for the I-Cubs was pushed from Sunday to Monday due to stomach bug. Harden is penciled in to start for the Cubs against the Twins on Saturday at Wrigley.

Thanks for reading and as always you can check out my site at YoungCubsWorld.com for daily updates. Transactions
