Spring Training Game Ten: Cubs (5-4) vs. White Sox (4-4)
Game Time – 3:05pm C.T.
Coverage – TV: WGN, MLB Network – Radio: None
Location – Cashman Field – Las Vegas, NV

Aaron Heilman (0-0, 0.00/0.50) vs. Jeff Marquez (0-0, 0.00/0.50)

After serving as the visiting team on Wednesday night, the Cubs will be the home team this afternoon in the finale of the brief two-game series with the Sox…the spring series between the rivals is notched at one.

Today’s game will be a rematch of the starters that faced off at HoHoKam last Saturday…. Aaron Heilman was more than impressive in his first outing of the spring. Heilman mixed his pitches well, showed very good command and other than Ted Lilly at the time, was clearly the best of the Cubs’ starters in the first four games.

Heilman allowed only one hit (A.J. Pierzynski) in his two shutout innings with four strikeouts….but most importantly no walks.

Jeff Marquez was equally impressive against the Cubs last Saturday. The Cubs managed only one base runner (a walk) in two innings against Marquez with two strikeouts.

Kevin Gregg should be among the pitchers used by Lou Piniella today.
