The 24th Annual Cubs Convention will kickoff on Friday afternoon at the Hilton Chicago and thanks to the Tribune here is the schedule for the three-day event that unofficially kicks off the 2009 season. The CCO has also compiled a list of scheduled attendees, in alphabetical order.
Cubs past and present will be in attendance as well as the newest Cub, Milton Bradley. The convention will also pay tribute to the ’84 team on the 25th anniversary of a magical summer that helped create a whole new generation of the Faithful. Ryne Sandberg, Rick Sutcliffe, Bill Buckner, Bob Dernier, Keith Moreland, Scott Sanderson , Steve Trout and Lee Smith will be in attendance and figures to make “The Magic of ’84” one of the largest attended events of the entire weekend. 2009 Cubs Convention Schedule
