According to a report from the Chicago Tribune, the Cubs will recall Matt Murton before Tuesday night’s game against Tampa Bay Rays and Eric Patterson will likely by the odd man out and optioned down to Triple-A Iowa.
The Chicago Tribune is reporting as of Monday night that Murton received notification on Sunday that he would be recalled and join the team in Tampa.
