No-Hit Maddux?

August 3, 2006 11:11 pm By Neil Leave a Comment

Greg Maddux made his Los Angeles Dodgers debut on Thursday night in Cincinnati. Maddux threw 6 innings of no-hit ball and walked 3 batters. The start of the game was delayed 65 minutes due to rain in the area it did not materialized until the 6th inning. After a 46-minute rain delay, Maddux did not return to the mound….he has never thrown a no-hitter….he did pick-up career victory number 328. I watched some of this game and Maddux was tremendous, vintage Maddux again. The Dodgers defense did help, with a couple of good plays and two double plays. For the most part though, it was mostly Maddux at his best. His pitches were dancing and the Reds were guessing.

It was hard to see Maddux in yet another uniform….and with the number 36 on the back of it….way to go Brad Penny.

Well, that’s a quick news brief….and I’m sticking to it!!!!
