Updated – 6:49pm C.S.T.

In the 6th inning of the Cubs vs. Diamondbacks game today, Scott Williamson hit Connor Jackson in the left arm and then immediately bent over. Pat Hughes and Ron Santo are said there was something wrong. Mark O’Neal and Larry Rothschild went to the mound and Williamson left the game with his head down.

Hughes and Santo said they will update once they are told and the I will do the same.

Hopefully this is nothing and I will update A.S.A.P. Williamson is having such a great spring…. Update

According to a report on Cubs.com, Scott Williamson left the game because of a lower back strain and not elbow problems. Williamson was pulled as a precautionary measure. Williamson’s status is day to day.
