The 8th Annual Toast for Harry Caray
Today at 5:30 pm C.S.T., Harry Caray’s Restaurant is hosting the 8th Annual “World’s Largest Toast” to Harry Caray at his restaurant downtown. ESPN Radio 1000 will be broadcasting and Dutchie Caray will lead the crowd in a rendition of “Take Me Out To The Ballgame.” Bars and establishments in over 80 countries and all 50 states participate at 5:30 pm central time. Like a lot of the Cubs Faithful my age, Harry Caray is the reason I started watching and following the Cubs. Check back on Saturday for the CCO’s tribute to Harry Caray…. There was an article in the Tribune on Tuesday about the upcoming documentary planned about Harry called “Hello Again Everybody”…. You can find the link to ESPN 1000 here at the CCO. Go through the ‘Cubs Links’ section in the navigation bar and scroll down to ‘Chicago Cubs Radio on the Web’ you will be able to hear and sing along with Dutchie.
