Cubs Sign Wade Miller to 1-year Deal

According to a report on FoxSports.com from AP, the Cubs have signed free-agent pitcher Wade Miller to a 1-year deal.

Will update when more is available.

Updated – 5:16pm C.S.T. According to a report on ESPN.com, the Cubs 1-year contract will be worth $1 million dollars and can earn up to $1 million in incentives.

Miller had surgery on his right labrum in September and expects to return by May. This is a good move by the Cubs and Jim Hendry. I think this is one move all of the Cubs Faithful will agree upon. Let’s hope he can return to his form from a couple of years back.

Wade Miller’s Career Stats

According to a report on SI.com, Miller’s incentives are as follows: $100,000 for 10 starts, $200,000 for 15 starts, $300,000 for 20 starts and $400,000 for 25 starts.
