Wellemeyer and Maine among Cubs Roster Cuts

According to multiple reports, the Cubs reduced their spring roster by four players Wednesday morning. Justin Berg and Scott Maine were optioned to Triple-A Iowa … and Todd Wellemeyer and Angel Guzman were assigned to minor league camp. The Cubs spring roster officially stands at 36 players with more cuts expected by Thursday or Friday.
