According to a report from Keith Law, the Cubs claimed right handed pitcher Jairo Asencio off waivers from the Cleveland Indians. To make room on the 40-man roster, Michael Bowden was designated for assignment. The Cubs are expected to make the moves official on Friday afternoon.
