According to a report in the Tribune, the Cubs are scouting Bobby Crosby. With the A’s recent signing of Orlando Cabrera and reportedly agreeing to terms with Nomar Garciaparra, Crosby “is suddenly expendable.” Crosby is scheduled to earn $5.2 million this season, which is well above his market value as the Tribune pointed out.
