According to a report from Carrie Muskat, the Cubs outrighted Brad Snyder off their 40-man roster Wednesday after he cleared waivers. Snyder became a free agent in the process.
The Cubs activated John Grabow from the 60-day DL on Tuesday … the big league roster now stands at 36 players. Brad Snyder made his Major League debut in 2010 with the Cubs after a tremendous season with the I-Cubs.
Snyder hit .308/.381/.568/.949 in 132 games with in Triple-A with 37 doubles and 25 home runs. In 12 games with the Cubs, Snyder managed only five hits in 27 at bats (.185/.214/.222) with one double.
Snyder was named to the Topps Triple-A All-Star Team on Wednesday.
