  • Neil

Thank you for posting ... I will run a complete article soon with all of the details.

  • Jeff

This is my son and my first Convention, do the players have any scheduled signing appearances?

  • Neil

Players do have scheduled times in which they will sign. Check the schedule for the players you would like to sign ... and get ready for extremely long lines.

The 'bigger' players such as Zambrano and Lee, as well as Santo, Banks and Piniella are usually by raffle only.

You will receive a scratch and win card when you register that will allow you to stand in line and receive their autograph.

Keep your head up when walking around ... you never know who you will run into.

Last year I stubbled upon Lilly, Marmol and Reed Johnson just walking through the hotel.

    Thank you for posting ...

I will post the full schedule and attendee list later.

  • Pooky

Why doesn't Rick Monday come to the convention any more?

  • SuzyS

33 years ago today..,Jan 11th...Monday was traded to the Dodgers for Bill Buckner.

  • Neil

Could have to do with him being the color guy on Dodgers' games.

Not sure ... but as I stated, the list above is partial. I will post a complete list once it is released.

Cubs Signed Bryan LaHair to a minor league contract with an invite to spring training ...

  • waldo7239117

I bet Hoffpair is going to be traded, LaHair is same player, both 1B and left. Have power and put up same battind average.

Anybody esle think Hoffpauir will be traded?

  • Neil

LaHair and Snyder are expected to compete with Hoffpauir for a bench spot.

Remember Hoffpauir has options left ... so a trade is not necessary. Nothing wrong with a little depth.

  • SuzyS

I agree with Neil...I'm rooting for both

Snyder and Hoffy to have a good spring.

Our minor league system is weak at first

as a whole...other than maybe Vitters...so I wouldn't read too much in the LaHair signing.

Oh my God...I'm having a LaHair Day!!!

    lol

  • Jim C (Tinley Park, IL)

    Hmmm.

At this moment, No Derek Lee,Aramis Ramirez, Alfonso Soriano, Mike Fontenot, Carlos Marmol or Tom Ricketts.

  • Neil

Derrek Lee is usually there. Aramis has not attended in the past and Soriano has been there his first two year.

As for the Ricketts Family ... that is a given. I will add them to the list.

  • Cubbiefan07

    Thanks so much Neil.

I'd be shocked if Ricketts, Fotnenot and Lee weren't there, espicially Ricketts.

  • agustin rexach

I believe Aramis has never been there.

  • mgomoll

    thnx Neil
