Cubs-Braves Game Postponed

The Cubs and Braves game was officially postponed due to inclement weather at 8:28pm C.T. No word on when the game will be rescheduled…an official announcement will come at a later date.

The Cubs open an important three-game series in Cincinnati on Friday night. Ryan Dempster was slated to face Micah Owings in the opener. Sean Marshall is scheduled to go on Saturday with Randy Wells facing Bronson Arroyo on Sunday.

Look for Lou Piniella to start Carlos Zambrano on Friday, push Ryan Dempster to Saturday and throw Randy Wells on Sunday…with Sean Marshall going to the bullpen for the weekend.

Updated – 8:47pm C.T. – Game Rescheduled for June 22

Rich Harden threw a bullpen session on Thursday and is slated to pitch for the Iowa Cubs on Sunday in a rehab start. The Cubs are expecting to have Harden back in time to start the opener against the Twins at Wrigley on Friday, June 12.
