Soto Out for First Two Games of Brewers Series

According to a report from the Chicago Tribune, Geovany Soto will miss at least the first two games of the Brewers series. The Tribune reported the Cubs “think shoulder pain is just minor inflammation” and he “is not going to be placed on the disabled list.

The MRI on Soto’s shoulder revealed “nothing more than minor inflammation in the biceps area.” The Tribune stated Soto would sit out the first two games and possibly the entire series in Milwaukee.

The Cubs are not expected to make a roster move and Aaron Miles will serve as the team’s emergency backup to Koyie Hill.

Quote of the Day

"People ask me a lot about the values I got from playing for the Cubs for so many years. The value I got out of it was patience. A lot of people these days are not very patient." - Ernie Banks
