Wednesday at HoHoKam Park was truly a beautiful day for a ballgame. Familiar faces filled the park, all in anticipation of the Cubs first game of the year. Granted it was just an exhibition, but to see the Chicago Cubs on the field after such a long, cold, strange winter was more than a welcomed sight to see.
The Cubs are back...and the CCO caught some of the first game on video.
The Cubs came from behind and beat the Dodgers 5-3 after Micah Hoffpauir cleared the bases with the Cubs first home run and grand slam of the year. A full recap with photos will be posted shortly, but for now here are a few moving pictures from Opening Day of the Cactus League.
