According to reports from the Chicago Tribune and Sun-Times, the Cubs avoided arbitration with Kevin Gregg on Monday by agreeing to a one-year deal worth $4.2 million. The Cubs avoided arbitration on Thursday with Ronny Cedeno which leaves Michael Wuertz as the only arbitration eligible player not under contract for 2009. Reports from the convention indicated Kevin Gregg and Michael Wuertz would agree to their one-year deals in the coming week.
