The Red Sox and their fans waited 86 years between World Championships and on Sunday night the once “cursed” franchise won their second World Series Title in 4 seasons. The current ownership group led by John Henry, Tom Werner and Larry Lucchino took over 6 years ago and have turned the Red Sox into a model franchise built by signing quality free-agents, an excellent front office, a solid scouting department and most importantly they turned their Minor League system around and concentrated on player development.
A good model for the new ownership of the Chicago Cubs to follow….
The 2007 season is officially over. Let the off-season begin!
