The Red Sox and their fans waited 86 years between World Championships and on Sunday night the once “cursed” franchise won their second World Series Title in 4 seasons. The current ownership group led by John Henry, Tom Werner and Larry Lucchino took over 6 years ago and have turned the Red Sox into a model franchise built by signing quality free-agents, an excellent front office, a solid scouting department and most importantly they turned their Minor League system around and concentrated on player development.
A good model for the new ownership of the Chicago Cubs to follow…. Congratulations to the Boston Red Sox and their fans…the 2007 World Series Champions.
The 2007 season is officially over. Let the off-season begin!
