Updated - 4:06pm C.T. - Angel Pagan to be placed on the 15-day DL with Colitis - Felix Pie was recalled from Triple-A according to a report on Cubs.com

According to a report in the Chicago Tribune, the Cubs have recalled Felix Pie from the I-Cubs and he will be available for tonight's game against the Astros. The Cubs have not announced a corresponding roster move and the Tribune is speculating it could be either Ronny Cedeno or Eric Patterson that is optioned back to Iowa.

The same report also mentions Geovany Soto and Carmen Pignatiello could be making their way to the big league club soon as well. Soto would replace Koyie Hill and Pignatiello would give Lou Piniella another lefty out of the pen. Right now the Cubs have only Scott Eyre with the demotion of Will Ohman.

The move to bring back up Felix Pie would mean Jacque Jones would move to one of the corner outfield spots.

Update - Angel Pagan was placed on the DL with colitis according to a report on Yahoo Sports.

Will update when more information becomes available....

Holy crap the BRewers are getting beat 18-3 in the 7th and the Rockies are still scoring. We have to take advantage of such a demorilizing loss by them to tie it up tonight.

I like that we are making these moves. i think it is a great idea to keep giving young players a chance because it usually gives the club energy and keeps things fresh...plus, these guys are performing in the minors and deserve a chance. if these guys can perform it could boost us into the playoffs.
