Updated - 4:31pm C.T. - Matt Murton and Rocky Cherry were recalled from Triple-A Iowa. Jake Fox and Billy Petrick were optioned back to the minors.
According to a report by Paul Sullivan in the Chicago Tribune on Friday morning the Cubs will recall both Rocky Cherry and Matt Murton before Friday night's game against the Reds.
The Cubs have not made an official announcement and Paul Sullivan did not mention which two players would be optioned down to make room for Cherry and Murton but the likely candidates would be Billy Petrick and Jake Fox.
